I currently offer bespoke wedding ceremonies and vow renewals, with naming ceremonies, funerals, and celebration of life ceremonies coming soon.

In a word, no.
Independent celebrants cannot perform legal marriages in England and Wales (yet!)
Most couples choose to complete the legal paperwork separately at a Register Office either before or after their celebrant-led ceremony.
The benefit? Your celebrant ceremony can be held anywhere and designed entirely around you
Wondering how to get legally married and not compromise on your ceremony? Read this post on the blog.

A registrar is a Council employee. Two registrars will attend a ceremony, one will officiate the ceremony, and the other will register. They will conduct a legal marriage and must follow a prescribed script in a licensed venue. However, you will have very little choice over the wording of your script, if any at all. You may never have met the registrars who turn up on the day. Your registrars will more than likely have other ceremonies on the same day, and usually quite close together.
As a celebrant I only book one wedding per day, and I write a completely bespoke script especially for you. We will have built up a rapport over the months we will have worked together, and I will be a recognisable friendly face on your wedding day.
As someone who has worked as a registrar, I understand both sides and can guide you through the process clearly and calmly.
I’ve written a blog post here which provides much more information on this.

Every ceremony I create is bespoke, so pricing reflects the time, care and personalisation involved.
Wedding ceremonies are £600
Vow renewals are £500
To secure your date, we’ll sign a contract and a 50% booking fee is payable. The remaining balance due 12 weeks before your ceremony.
If your ceremony is less than 12 weeks away, the full fee is payable at the time of booking.

I am based in Neath Port Talbot and will happily travel across South, West, and Mid Wales. Travel beyond these areas will incur an additional fee - please get in touch to discuss your plans. If there is any travel fee payable this will be agreed before you sign any paperwork.

Popular dates (especially Saturdays in peak season) can book 2 years in advance! I recommend getting in touch as soon as you have a date in mind - or even before!
-
Yes, I provide guidance with personal vows, readings, rituals, and music choices to help shape a ceremony that feels natural and meaningful.
This is all provided as part of my fee.
-
You can - if you have something in mind just let me know. I’m happy to suggest elements that I think would work with your vibe - think handfastings, ring warmings, unity candles etc.
-
Absolutely. Most couples don’t know exactly what they want at the beginning - that’s where I come in. I’ll guide you through the options and help shape something that feels completely right for you.
-
Once you get in touch we’ll arrange a relaxed discovery call to see if we’re the right fit. If you decide to book, a booking fee secures your date, you sign the contract, and we begin creating your ceremony together.
